Story 8: The Pool again
Today, we went to the pool again. Unlike yesterday, today there was no rain. So, unlike yesterday, we got to play in the big pool. Once Dishita adjusted to the cold water, she started swimming while her dad followed Dishita’s brother. Dishita swam many times across the pool and back. Then Dishita’s brother wanted to go to the baby pool, so Dishita also went. We splashed around for a while in the baby pool for a while. Then we went back to the big pool again. This time, Dishita did many jumps into the pool. Next, Dishita swam some more laps. After that, Dishita’s dad said it was time to go inside. Pool time was over but that is OK because tonight we were flying to Dishita’s maternal aunt’s house in Australia.
Story 7: Fun in the Pool
Dishita and I are at Dishita’s uncle’s house. There is a big pool and Dishita brought her swimsuit. So we all went to the pool. Dishita’s brother could not swim, so Dishita’s dad hadto hold him. It was raining, so we all had to swim in the smaller baby pool. Even then Dishita’s brother was scared to stand in the water by himself. Finally, he started to stand in the water by himself. Dishita and her brother played by splashing each other. Her brother kept splashing himself instead of Dishita. The baby pool was too shallow to swim. So Dishita just crawled and splashed around. Then after 30 minutes, we had to go back in as Dishita’s brother was hungery. My time in the pool was really really really fun. And tomorrow, I get to go to the pool again!
Story 6: trip from India to Malaysia (Uncle's house)
Veera here again. Dishita, her parents, her brother Aryan and I left India to go to Dishita’s paternal uncle’s house. Dishita’s uncle and aunt live in Malaysia. Dishita had to take one flight from Lucknow to Delhi. Then another one from Delhi to Malaysia. We went to the airport in the early afternoon to go to Delhi. We got their just in time because boarding started at 240 and we reached there at 230. The ride only too 45 minutes. Dishita didn’t sleep, but her brother fell asleep at the end of the ride. The next flight was after a few hours. We got our luggage and loaded it in Dishita’s maternal uncle’s car. Guess what! We forgot to get Dishita’s brother’s stroller. We did not go to get the stroller as it was not needed anymore. Dishita’s uncle suggested – lets go to the Ambience Mall to spend time. When we got to the Ambience Mall, we almost gave up trying to look for a parking place for uncle’s big, shiny, silver car. After we finally found the parking place, we went to the mall and found a good, small restaurant. Dishita, her brother, her dad and I ate lots of chicken and goat. Dishita’s mom and her uncle ate salad and vegetables. Next, we all went shopping. After half an hour, Dishita and her brother got bored. So Dishita’s dad took Dishita and her brother to ride on a fake train in the mall. Dishita’s dad got three tickets. One for Dishita, one for her brother and one for myself. The ride was 18 minutes long. We sat on the third train car. The train car was red in color. The conductor of the train took us around the mall. When the ride finally ended, we all went for more shopping. After sometime, we went to another airport so that we could go on our next place ride to Malaysia. The ride to the second airport was slow because there was a lot of traffic. When we finally got to the second airport, we said “good bye” to Dishita’s maternal uncle, and went inside the airport to get our boarding passes and give our luggage. There were not a lot of people in the airport. After we passed the security part, we went to our gate. We had to wait there for two hours. When we got in the plane and found our seats, Dishita started moving, removing and adding pillows, and blankets onto her seat to make it easier to sleep. It was 12 o’clock in the night. The ride was 5 hours and 12 minutes long. Dishita slept the whole way. When Dishita was finally woken up, she was in Malaysia. We got our luggage and found a taxi to take us to Dishita’s uncle’s house. The car ride was only one hour six minutes, but it felt like 11 hours. I saw Dishita fall asleep again, so I tried to fall asleep too. When we woke up, Dishita’s uncle and aunt greeted us. What a long and exciting days for Dishita and me. Story 5: My First Holi Celebrated in India
Hi! I’m Veera and today I celebrated Holi, the festival of colors! In the morning, after breakfast [which tasted like hot peppers], Dishita changed into some of her mother’s old clothes. They were a little too big. Then, Dishita and one of her cousins filled the Holi guns with pink water. Next, we went to the common place where people were playing Holi. Dishita, her 2 cousins, her parents, her uncle, her aunt, her grandfather, her little brother, Aryan, and I sprayed each other with water colors and threw different colored powder onto each other. We also said, “Happy Holi!” to each other. There was green, blue, lots of red and pink, white, orange, yellow, and purple powder. After that, we took lots of pictures of each other. Which I will share with you all.
Next, we headed to the house of the parents of Dishita’s mom, to continue Holi there. When we got to Dishita’s grand parent’s gigantic house, we were greeted by Dishita’s mom’s mom, who led us to the gigantic backyard, where we played with the water guns and the wet colored powder again. But this time the powder colors were: brown, green, yellow, purple, blue, pink, and red. We again took many pictures. It was reeeaaaally sunny so Dishita went and sat in an old rocking chair. The chair was behind a few plants in the shade. After a few minutes of rocking, Dishita got called over for some more pictures. After the pictures, Dishita hurried back to the rocking chair that was in the shade. Boy was it hot. The sun would burn you if you were wearing something black. After some more minutes, Dishita with everyone else went back to the common place most people were playing Holi.

Thank you for reading my blog. Here are my answers to your questions. More on them in the story below.
1. Where were you and what is it like there?
I am in Lucknow and it is pretty hot here. The temperature is sometimes more than 100F.
2. What are you doing in your new location?I am playing a lot and meeting my family.
3. Why was your dad not with you on the second trip?
He came with a bunch of his university students and was showing them around in India. Dad told me that each of these students paid a lot of money to visit India. Boy, am I lucky!
3. How did the tv remote break?
I have no idea. In some old airplanes, the TV screens and remote do not work.
4. When will you write us more stories?
Here is one story that explains these questions, and some more after this.
Today, I, Veera, am going to tell you about Dishita’s happiest day so far in the, “Big Trip.” Today Dishita’s dad and uncle came back, and brought gifts for everyone too. Dishita’s favorite gift was a new, real, shiny, pink, phone that came with new, shiny, pink, earplugs, and a shiny, black, charger. Her dad got her a shiny, red, remote controlled car which was about 1 foot long. It also came with a 5 inch remote to control the car. But the gifts weren’t why Dishita was so happy. Dishita was so happy because her dad came back. Today was Dishita’s favorite day so far in the, “Big trip.”

Story 3: The First Full Day of my Time in India
Veera is back again! Dishita woke up really early. I don’t remember when she woke up. Anyway, when she woke up, she played with her little brother, Aryan. Then, after a few hours, she brushed her teeth, and drank her milk. Then, she woke up her cousin. First, they played on the i-pad for a while. Then, we wrestled. Next, we ate breakfast. After that, we fell asleep again due to jet lag. When we woke up, we painted a picture and played some more. Then, we ate lunch. After that, we played on the i-pad again. Next, we ate dinner. We played on the i-pad one more time, and then we played tickle monster. Mom let Dishita and her brother pay on i-pad as they were jet lagged and mom wanted to keep us awake by one way or another. We brushed our teeth, and last we went to sleep.
Story 2: The second ride (March 15, 2016)
Hi! Veera here again. This time to I’m going tell you about the second ride. Are you ready? Here we go! Our second ride was without daddy. Boarding started at 6:20pm. We had to wait 3 hours to get on board the plane. My brother and I played on my I-pad while we were in the plane. The ride was 45 minutes long. In the middle of the ride, the crew gave everyone a cheese sandwich, ketchup, mango juice and a small water bottle. After a while, the crew came around with the trash can to collect the trash. When we got off the plane, we went straight to the luggage pick up center. Then, my mom’s mom and dad came to pick us up, and took us to my dad’s mom and dad’s house. For me the adventures are just starting.
Story 1: The first ride (March 14, 2016)

We sat in the middle row, at number 37def. My mom and my brother sat right behind us. The seat in the middle of my dad and I was empty. The ride was 13 hours and 42 minutes long. First, I watched TV for a while. Then, my TV remote broke, so I watched on the middle screen. Next, my food tray arrived, I did not eat much. After that, I fell asleep. I woke up after a few hours, but fell asleep again. When I woke up after few more hours, the ride was almost finished. Daddy got our suitcases, took 2, and hurried to catch up with his students. Meanwhile, mom, my little brother, Aryan, and I got a big bottle of water. Then, we headed to our gate number, 37.
