Target Status
One year (Dec 2012 to Dec 2013) Target: 1000 USD
Donations (updated on Jan 12, 2014): 510 USD
Dishita could not reach the target of 1000 USD (in one year), but she did well to collect about 500 USD in the first year of her fund raising initiative. Do please support her cause. What she needs most is encouragement, so dropping a line of appreciation is as big help as donating for her cause.

Every now and then, Dishita also gets money from her parents and grand parents for not purchasing toys.
How the Money is used:
Updated on Jan 12, 2014:
Dishita has only used 200 USD in following ways:
Clothes and Food (200): Dishita traveled to India in December 2013 and distributed 50 warm blankets to local rickshaw pullers and fruits to the kids of poor families (in the vicinity of Vikas Nagar, Lucknow).
Thanksgiving donation ($50): Food items donated at local collection points.
We plan to donate the remaining money on Thanksgiving this year (in 2014) by purchasing food baskets and donating to poor families. Rather than just giving money or food at local collection points, we want Dishita to actually see who she is helping. Hopefully, by Thanksgiving, she will again collect enough money for more initiatives next year.
